X Ambassadors pay homage to NY roots with ‘Ahead of Myself’ video

X Ambassadors paid homage to their upstate NY roots with the new music video for ‘Ahead of Myself’. The band is shown walking around the streets of the small town of Monroe, near Rochester, as lead singer Sam Harris sings. The coolest part is that Harris told Billboard he did not lip sync in the video to “create something that felt intimate, that felt real and vulnerable and in the moment.”

Today we received some new music from X Ambassadors!!! The band has promised their forthcoming sophomore album is to be released soon and this song, ‘Ahead of Myself’ is the first official single. It’s a slower and more emotional track, Sam Harris on states on Facebook that “it’s a very personal song, and reflects a bit of the journey we’ve all been through as a band over the last 2 years”.

The most exciting, excruciating part of Bonnaroo

There’s something exciting at looking at the lineup of a massive destination music festival such as Bonnaroo and thinking, “Look at all these acts I’ll get to see!”

That anticipation can sometimes turn daunting when the schedule comes out and you begin to wonder, “How am I gonna see everything I want to see!?”

Most music festivals have a “custom schedule” feature on their website now. It’s either helpful or hurtful, depending on how many conflicts you have.
