Portugal. the Man’s performance on Conan last night was a bit different than when they last appeared on late night television, bringing along hip hop dancers to Jimmy Fallon’s stage. This time around, they brought a four piece string section with them to Conan.

Since the beginning of Portugal. The Man, they put out a new album almost every year. That is until Evil Friends was released in 2013 and they ended up taking a four year break. Bless up though! After about writing about 100 different songs and one completely scrapped album they finally dropped Woodstock today!

I had the privilege of attending the Shaky Knees Music Festival in Atlanta a couple of weeks ago. It was actually the third year in a row that I have been, and if that doesn’t speak for itself, I can tell you it’s a great experience, well worth the 6+ hour drive.

It’s been a while since we’ve heard much from Portugal. The Man, literally and figuratively. It’s been 8 years since they played St. Pete proper and 5 years since their last show in Tampa.
