Taking Back Sunday released a new music video for “Call Come Running”, premiered on Paper Magazine earlier today. The very personal video depicts a bloody, dazed Adam Lazzara wondering around his home town in North Carolina until he runs into his father, played by his actual father.
The video mirrors that of a coming of age tale, similar to the rest of Taking Back Sunday’s most recent work. With almost two decades under their belts, the bandmates have grown into adulthood and family life together. As expected, those influences are starting to trickle into their music. Lazzara explained some of this in [More]

Twenty One Pilots just released the music video for “Heavydirtysoul”, the final single from their latest album, Blurryface. They could have shot a home made video and it would have went viral, because anything Tyler Joseph and Josh Dun touch right now turns to gold. But, that is not the case. This video is fire, both literally and figuratively.
Tyler sings most of the song from the back seat of a car driven down a two lane road by a hooded stranger. Josh Dun’s drum kit is literally on fire, while he plays in the middle of that same road. Sparks [More]

Bishop Briggs aka Sarah McLaughlin will be returning to the Tampa Bay area for a headlining show May 17th at State Theatre in St. Pete. Bishop roared into Tampa last December to perform at Next Big Thing riding the smash hit success of “River”. She previously garnered attention for her debut single “Wild Horses” which became an internet hit following its inclusion on an Acura commercial. She has since been noted, mentioned, and previewed in countless acclaimed music blogs and publications. We don’t have a debut album from her, and are anxiously awaiting that. I would expect one soon, considering [More]

Marian Hill’s “Down” has been rapidly climbing the charts and garnering mainstream airplay, largely attributable to it’s inclusion in Apple’s Airpods commercial. The commercial debuted during this year’s NFL playoffs, and has continued to air during numerous primetime TV spots. The exposure has resulted in the song’s current sitting among the top 3 most downloaded songs on iTunes. Excitingly, this roundabout exposure is not a unique phenomena in the music industry. Most recently Empire of the Sun found a resurgence thanks to their nearly decade old song “Walking on a Dream” finding its way onto a Honda commercial.
So, who is Marian Hill?

Brandon Urie of Panic! At the Disco performed perhaps the most elegant version of “Death of a Bachelor” to date alongside The Roots on The Tonight Show With Jimmy Fallon last week. The song can be found on Panic! At the Disco’s fifth studio album, Death of a Bachelor, which is nominated for Best Rock Album at this year’s Grammys. Tapping into the jazz influenced constructs of the song, the rendition sounded like a fusion between Frank Sinatra and Maroon 5.
If Jimmy Fallon has his way, Panic! will win their first Grammy this year, introducing the group as the band that’s “nominated (and should [More]

Joshua Ostrander aka Mondo Cozmo is a Philadelphia born and LA based singer song writer. He’s been around the alt rock scene since 2004 when he was a member of the band, LaGuardia, who was signed to Universal Records at the time. From there, he broke off with a fellow bandmate to form Easter Conference Champions. Late last year, Ostrander began to dabble in a solo career under the guise of Mondo Cozmo.
Dabble is a perhaps a bit underwhelming, for Ostrander has generated quite the buzz ever since releasing his first single, “Hold On To Me”. Most of the buzz was generated in [More]

It’s that time of the year again where the farm is calling! Bonnaroo 2017 is a go and 97x wants to send you there! Now I’m not sure if you’re familiar with this little thing called Bonnaroo… It’s only a festival that you can immerse yourself in the 150 music acts and arts for four days straight while camping out with 80,000 of the best people on a 700 acre farm. No big deal.
This year’s line up was no disappointment. With a mix of music genres, art, and even comedy, it makes for the perfect festival that has [More]
