Fox 13 is reporting that beads can be recycled thanks to the MacDonald Training Center on W Cypress street in Tampa. At the center people and students living with autism, Down syndrome, or other disabilities will sort, repackage, and resell them in preparation for the next Gasparilla. That’s not the only place you can drop off either, right now you can drop off your beads at MacDonald but they will have collection bins out at the below community centers by hopefully February 1st.

-Port Tampa Community Center
-Kate Jackson Community Centers
-Loretta Ingraham Recreation Complex
-Copeland Park Center
-At MacDonald Training Center.

They’ve also partnered with Krispy Kreme for the “Beads For Doughnuts” event. That will be Feb. 24 from 9a-5p. That’s when you can bring 12 lbs or more of beads into the store at 3113 Kennedy Blvd. for a free dozen glazed doughnuts. (Limit two dozen per customer). How awesome is that?
