On Monday night ‘Jeopardy’ contestant Nick Spicher was kicking himself over the mispronunciation of the word ‘gangsta’.

The answer to the question was “Gangsta’s Paradise Lost” and he very clearly said “GangsTER’s Paradise Lost”. The judges initially gave him $1,600 for the correct answer but after further review revoked it as well as an additional $1,600 for a ‘wrong’ answer. So it cost him a total of $3,200.

On the ‘Jeopardy’ website they explain that “gangsta” and “gangster” have separate definitions in the Oxford English Dictionary, so the song title was incorrect.
