I know everyone had their own AMAZING moments at #97XNBT this year but I thought I would share a few of my personal favorites!

First of all, the look on my face in the post below says it all. I was about to host the BIGGEST Next Big Thing that has ever happened in 97X history! Do you have an idea what it feels like to be a the helm of that?!! And staring out at thousands of people in the MidFlorida Credit Union Ampitheatre? It’s CRAZY but luckily the 97x family both behind the scenes and and in the seats are so supportive and fun it makes it easy. 🙂

I wasn’t too familiar with Arkells before NBT but after their awesome set on Day 1 and a super casual chat on the Next Bed Thing with singer/guitarist Max Kerman I definitely would say I’m a fan!

The after party with Magic Giant at the Hard Rock Cafe was a HUGE success. The crowd chanted for an encore and the band was totally not expecting it!!! So much love in Tampa Bay for these guys!

I managed to sneak out into the pit for a few of my personal favorites and it was absolutely worth it because um ANDREW MCMAHON ON A GIANT RUBBER DUCK?!

Meeting him was pretty awesome too. 🙂

Not going to lie, I still think it’s pretty cool when I get to go live on the jumbotron. MOM LOOK THAT’S ME!!!

Okay, now this MIGHT be #1 for me. Vance Joy turned 30 on Friday before NBT so we surprised him with an awesome cake after his set from Alessi Bakery!! We then got the entire crowd to sing Happy Birthday!!!!!! I died.

Of course. The puppy pit. The puppies in there this year were only about 8 weeks old and RIDICULOUSLY CUTE. Here’s a shot of Joywave getting there snuggle on.

Did anyone see when we went live with Jack Antonoff from Bleachers on the jumbotron?! It was frreaking hilarious. He thought it was the coolest thing ever to chant back and forth with the crowd. Definenly another highlight.

Finally, meeting and getting to interview Paramore was a HUGE moment for me. I was in high school when they bursted onto the scene and 17-year old me would have NEVER believed it if someone said this is where I’d be 10 years later. Definitely a surreal moment!

Well that’s honestly just a few of the highlights from my weekend! If I tried to name them all I’d spend the rest of my day writing this blog. Please share yours and I can’t wait to see you at NBT next year!
