LIGHTS just released her first single, titled “Savage”, off of her upcoming album Skin & Earth and the song features Josh Dun on drums. Um what?

Yeah you heard that right. The Canadian born electro pop/ rock singer must have figured hailing a piece of Twenty One Pilots to feature on the new record would blow her fans’ minds, and bring heards of new fans running towards her. I think it’s working because quite frankly, she wouldn’t get attention from this blog otherwise 😉

As I’ve mentioned before, most of LIGHTS’ success has come in Canada where she’s won 2 Juno Awards, one for Best New Artist in 2009 and the other for Best Pop Album in 2015 for Little Machines. She’s been nominated for several more during that span. Her debut album, The Listening, was certified gold by the Canadian Recording Industry Association.

Josh Dun posted an Instagram pic a year ago, asking LIGHTS to let him play drums on some new songs, and well, she listened.
