We are devastated to learn of the passing of Chester Bennington today. Music has suffered so many tragic losses lately and it just doesn’t seem to stop. TMZ  reported today that he was found this morning around 9am at his home in California. Bennington passed away as result of suicide, hanging himself. He was 41 and survived by his wife and 6 children. We wanted to take a moment and remember a few of Linkin Park’s  many stops in Tampa Bay throughout their music career. If you have memories from those shows you’d love to share, please tweet, FB, or call 877.327.9797.

There was of course Projekt Revolution in 2007 at the then Ford Amphitheatre. Full gallery of those pics here.

In 2011 they made another stop in Tampa following the release of their album A Thousand Suns , Jan. 22 at the then St. Pete Times Forum. Full gallery of those pics.

That year Bennington actually called in to 97x and did an interview with our morning show Fisher & Boy.

Part 2:

AND OF COURSE we cannot forget the Next Big Thing 2013!!! Chester Bennington performed with Stone Temple Pilots that year.

What’s even more crushing about this day. Is that today would have been Chris Cornell’s 53rd birthday. Cornell also died of suicide on May 18th of this year.

Chester Bennington sang ‘Hallelujah’ at his funeral.

#RIP Chester, our hearts are with you and your family today.
