Queens of the Stone Age drop new single, announce album, and tour

By Sam

Queens of the Stone Age will release their first album since …Like Clockwork in 2013 on August 25th. Below is the first single off that album, Villains, ‘The Way You Used To Do’. In a statement from Josh Homme regarding Villains he explained  that this album is about “redefining our sound, asking and answering the question, ‘What do we sound like now?’ If you can’t make a great first record, you should just stop – but if you can make a great record but you keep making records and your sound doesn’t evolve, you become a parody of that original sound.” You can definitely get a sense of that new sound with this single. Looking forward to hearing more this Summer!

Villains track list:

1. “Feet Don’t Fail Me”
2. “The Way You Used To Do”
3. “Domesticated Animals”
4. “Fortress”
5. “Head Like A Haunted House”
6. “Un-Reborn Again”
7. “Hideaway”
8. “The Evil Has Landed”
9. “Villains Of Circumstance”

The band also announced a North American tour which, unfortunately like so many lately, doesn’t stop in Florida.
