According to TMZ, sources close to the matter claim that the One Love Manchester benefit concert has already amassed $12 million in fundraising, and they expect that to go even higher. Despite a horrific attack in London the night before, 55,000 showed up with the strength necessary to move forward in the face of hate, oppression, and all things evil.
Watch Marcus Mumford perform “Timshel” solo and acoustic:
While there were rumors that we’d see an Oasis reunion at One Love Manchester, we got the next best thing… Liam Gallagher and Coldplay perform together. Brothers Liam and Noel Gallagher clearly couldn’t put aside their bitter relationship for the betterment of their country, but I’ll take Chris Martin in Noel’s place any day. Watch them perform “Live Forever” below.
And if that wasn’t enough Oasis for you, watch Chris Martin and Ariana Grande perform “Don’t Look Back in Anger” together.
There were also appearances from Pharrell Williams, Miley Cyrus, Justin Bieber, Robbie Williams, Katy Perry, Niall Horan, and members of The Black Eyed Peas. Usher was rumored to perform, but was never actually on the bill. He, David Beckham, and Sir Paul McCartney had recorded messages for the fans in Manchester instead.
Here’s an acoustic performance of Justin Bieber’s “Cold Water”. I’m not the biggest Bieber fan, but this was an incredible rendition.
