First we had the Pink Floyd shrimp and now a Radiohead ANT?! Say hello to Sericomyrmex radioheadi. The Ant was discovered by Ana Ješovnik and Ted R. Schultz who work in the Smithsonian Institution’s Ant Lab in Washington, D.C. The two scientists said they “wanted to honor their music…but more importantly, we wanted to acknowledge the conservation efforts of the band members, especially in raising climate-change awareness.”

My only question is, did it have to be an ant? Why not bad ass snake or a big scary spider!!!
